let YOUR LIGHT shine

glōw (n): a warm and steady radiance of light

Shine your light.
The world needs it.

When my kids were little, this was my blessing to them each day: Shine Your Light. I love the sunshine, and the natural light that floods through a windowpane. Give me a house with all the windows! I’m sure my island upbringing had something to do with that. And when I moved from Los Angeles to the East Coast, I knew I could handle the cold winters as long as there was sunshine every so often.

So when I decided to pivot from a music career to one in weddings, I knew that light would play a significant part in my branding, and so glōweddings was born. Because light emanates from the inside, too. And that’s my aim: to shine my light, so you can shine yours.

A MASTER'S DEGREE IN MUSIC

led me here to you

I’ve been a singer since day one. There just wasn’t any other path to pursue, as far as I was concerned. I was good at it, I loved it, and opportunities came. I toured the world, won a Grammy, sang on movie soundtracks, and performed on TV. Singing became my life’s work, and remained so for a long time. It was the best! And then Covid happened, and it was time to pivot.

But I learned that creativity in one area translates to other areas as well. And all those musical disciplines of professionalism, preparation, organization, collaboration, attention to detail, and a maddening ability to spot typos (I can’t help it!) have translated seamlessly to the wedding space, where I get to witness joy and beauty in an entirely new way! It’s the best, too!

“Sarona treated us like members of her own family, with loving care, an eye for detail, and on budget.  Her graciousness extended to the vendors and guests, and I am forever grateful for all that she poured into making this day incredibly special.”

Working with glōweddings is like having a best friend in the wedding industry

Kindness counts. It doesn’t cost a thing, and it makes all the difference! The team we assemble for your wedding day are people I would hang out with. Excellent artists, yes, but even better humans. Because our job is to make your day flawless, seamless, beautiful, calm, and happy. When you hire exceptional people, they will move mountains for you. I’ve seen it happen.

And when your team is working in sync with each other, and your day is humming along, that leaves more time for me to support you, to keep you calm, happy and hydrated, and to watch you shine - from your getting ready pics to your grand sendoff at the end of the night! I’m so excited for you!

Your friends and family will remember your wedding day for all the right reasons!

Let’s dream up a fun and memorable event for you and those you love. You’ve earned this!

When you sign with me you always get me .

Every interaction with you and your vendor team will come through me, so you can count on me to give your wedding my full attention. I’ll absolutely have assistants on your wedding day to keep things running smoothly (because I do LOVE a good team!), but the planning happens between you and me. I like it that way, and you can trust that nothing will fall through the cracks. And I won’t show up and run things with a heavy hand, nope. I’ll show up with snacks and a great attitude, staying calm under pressure and always wearing a smile (and flats, obviously).

‘Ohana means family

and family means sometimes it’s messy

Am I right? Weddings can bring out all kinds of strange emotions in people, and it’s not at all uncommon to have disagreements during the process. I’m usually able to disarm people with my Hawaiian warmth and charm, because kindness goes a long way in diffusing a tense situation. However, sometimes people are just tough nuts, and need to be set right. I’ll do that, but always with kindness. And hey, go ahead and play that “wedding planner said no” card. I’m okay with that.

" oh enough about me. let's talk about you! what do you think of me? "

01
creativity

The color orange is my jam! Did you know that it’s the color of joy and creativity? Not to mention sunshine, enthusiasm, happiness, fascination and fun!

I’ve been in the same book club for over 20 years. These ladies are my Muses and yes, we actually read the books, but we also eat real good.

02
friendship

I was a huge Menudo fan back in the day, and one time I gave Ricky Martin a piggyback ride. Which just goes to show you that there’s not a whole lot I won’t do for you on your wedding day. Especially if Ricky Martin is involved.

03
la vida loca

I want to know what makes you awesome!

Where did you grow up? What’s your go-to Starbucks order? Your alma mater? Where did you go that your mother told you not to go? (Mine was Tunisia! And tbh she’s still a little salty about it.) What’s your story? The more you share with me, the more personal and unique your wedding will be. Isn’t that what you want?

Find a wedding planner that really gets you, that cares about your priorities. And if she makes you laugh and smile - that’s a bonus!
